The Car Project is my current exploration into using the Arduino platform for good. This project was born out of the following article on engadget:
This article/howto on its own would have directly solved a problem I had: too many audio sources in my car and only the one lonely cassette adapter (yea, my car is old enough to need one of those). I started researching part prices and always came to about $30 by the time it was all said and done.
I never embraced the idea and let it sit in the back of my mind. Then I learned about Arduino. The project has ballooned ever since. I will save the current “idea” for a different page within the wiki, but it is the same idea (audio switching) with much more awesome attached (clock, compass, gps, etc) and eventually a really fancy display and interface.
The following pages will remain online but will no longer be updated. They have been merged into the Discussion page.
