I suppose this is where I should write something inspirational about why you should read through this site. Truthfully, I have no such rant for you. This is where I document what I do. Ever since I embraced the open source Arduino platform, I've been trying to be more open in my designs and thus, this wiki was born. I plan on a couple things:
A running page for each project that will serve as my own personal monologue (maybe a broader dialog should people actually want to register… eeK!)
A “tutorial” styled page if you want to recreate my endeavors.
These are in order of “awesomeness”, or in reverse chronological order…
Grade Tracker – A (potential) grade tracking system for use in my competency-based assessment style as a teacher.
DIY Document Camera – A homebrew document camera system using off-the-shelf hardware for use in the classroom.
The Car Project (v1) – A basic in-car computer system that handles audio routing from multiple sources, time, FM reception,
MP3 player, GPS and Compass information (some of these will probably slide into v2)
The Rec Rack – A custom rack unit for my recording gear. This project is 100% complete.. I just haven't had time to write up a nice thing about it.
Below is a list of tools (either current or prospective) that I use.
Arduino/Freeduino/Sanguino
Any sort of power tools I can get my hands on.
Anything that helps with soldering (vices, helping hands, solder, etc)
-
Python – This is a new language for me but I intend on using it and replacing
PHP.
Notepad++ and/or Vim
Once I get set up, I'll have a way for users to register and comment, participate, etc. For now however, it's all mine :) Enjoy the read.
